Ask yourself daily;

"Who did I help today?"

Weekly Quote:

"No matter how dark it gets, we all have to be light for each other".

Tyler Perry

We have an awesome Bible Study Small Group who meets on Wednesday evenings. One of our members, Al, gave us the following Prayer. It is called "God Answers Our Lord's Prayer". I felt it to be a powerful read and hope you also enjoy it. Unfortunately I can't make out the author's first name. I believe it starts with the letter D, however the last name is Zimmerman and his title is a Methodist Minister. So I would like to give credit to this individual and thank you for such a powerful message.

God Answers our Lord's Prayer

My children who are on earth. You reverence my name, But you do not always celebrate my will for you. You ask for my kingdom to come, But how can it when you are what I mean by my kingdom. You pray for my will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven! My Will is done in Heaven, On earth I took the risk and gave you a free will. You pray for your daily bread! Well, you have enough and more to share. You ask me to forgive you of your trespasses. I have forgiven you, but how often you will not forgive each other, or will not even forgive yourself long after I have announced "You are forgiven!" You pray not to be led into temptation, I knew when I made you human and gave you a free will that you would be tempted. So I sent the Holy Spirit to help you in the struggle. If you win the struggle, you will get credit for becoming a stronger person. If you should fail, I want you to know that you are still my child. "I will never leave you!" Finally, you pray that I would deliver you from the Evil One. I have already done that and won the victory thru My Son Jesus. Remember these truths; use the gifts I am giving you, Then you will truly know, MY POWER AND GLORY FOREVER AND EVER . . . AMEN.  The above prayer was original developed by D? Zimmerman Methodist  Minister

Please Google, Sheriff Grady Judd.  What

a disciple.  He truly has a Christian Heart.

Sheriff Grady Judd is a Sheriff in Polk County in Florida.  WTSP covered a story on Sheriff Grady Judd as he is under fire for speaking at church while in uniform.  He answered their questions without hesitation regarding his position on this matter.  We here at Jesus Pin admire him.

As October 31, 2016 approached my heart was becoming anxious. I was thinking dad went to sleep on October 30, 2015 for the last time in his bed in Coventry, RI. Upon awaking, did he know that he would be called home to the Lord? He was such a humble soul. He was always a peacemaker. Never causing strife. He was a great listener. Offered advice when asked. Although he was my father, he was also my friend. My best friend.  I have needed him so many times this past year. I have cried out for him, missing his wisdom, his love. Time doesn't heal this hurt. But what helps the pain is remembering who he was and how many people admired him. He was a TRUE CHILD OF GOD. That is a very important lesson as I proceed with my life. Thinking of dad's character and vision. Dad, please keep the dimes and white feathers coming our way. I love you.
It is with a very sad heart that I state that we lost a true hero on October 31, 2015.  My dad, Claude Hawkins graduated to Heaven. Because of dad's love for God, he lead our family to the Lord. Mom and dad were married over 57 years. He was Past Master Masonic Ionic Lodge #28, member of the Scottish Rite Masonic Vets, former Trustee and Deacon of Summit Baptist Church in Coventry and former assistant Scout Master of the Boy Scouts Troop 4.  I can say I won the lottery by calling him my earthly dad. Dad always put God first and then his family. He wanted to become a Mason for many years, but put it off until his family was raised. He always put other's needs before his. Dad was loved by so many. Most of us remember his kind heart and his smile. Dad was ALWAYS THERE for any and all who needed help. He welcomed everyone into his heart and home. He encouraged friends and family and always LISTENED. He was quick to listen and slow to speak. Over 500 people attended dad's wake. There was also a Masonic Service. When dad's friends spoke on his behalf, they all had the same memories of how their lives had been changed knowing him. Some stated that they "inspired to be like him". He was someone who made you feel God's love.

On February 25, 2015.  Ralph Nonnenmacher, my father-in-law, 85 passed away to join the love of his life, Eleanor Nonnenmacher in Heaven.  Ralph and Eleanor were married for 63 years. Ralph Nonnenmacher was an incredible man, husband, father, father-in-law, Pa Pa and Great Grandfather. Ralph was a forty year member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 17. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1950-1952 and was a two time Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of the West Bay Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 2, DAV Folcarelli Chapter 1, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge Assoc., American Legion and the VFW. He was also a volunteer driver for the Veterans' Hospital.  Dad was always there to help any and everyone. He loved to travel, play cards, watch sports, especially the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.  Family was very important to him and he always made time for family gatherings or even just a phone call to say hi. He will always be remembered as a happy man who was always singing, laughing and whistling. Paul, his twin brother Ralph, and his sister, Donna were blessed to have two loving, caring and dedicated parents who raised them to know Christ.  As we celebrated his life on March 5 in Rhode Island, we had over 10" of snow falling giving dad a winter wonderland. The Burial with military honors was held at the RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, RI.

October 2, 2014, ended our business trip to Pigeon Forge, TN.  Aunt Carol and I arrived in Pigeon Forge late Monday evening and made several calls to various stores in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville.  What a wonderful experience.  We have met so many wonderful people.  I must mention the Christmas and Candles store located in Sevierville, TN (216 Apple Valley Road).  Aunt Carol had mentioned this store to me as she had visited this store two years ago when Uncle Frank surprised her with a vacation in Pigeon Forge and she came upon this amazing Christmas shop.  I must say this is A MUST if you are visiting the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area.  David and Linda are the owners of this store and are extremely warm and friendly and it was a pleasure meeting them.  They also have a very friendly staff who went out of their way to help the customers.  It is obvious to see why this store is so successful.  We wish to thank them for the purchase of the Jesus Pin and we pray for their continued success.  I have posted a picture of the store and of Linda and David below.
This is my Aunt Carol.  She came with me for my trip to Tennessee.  I am very blessed to have such a wonderful aunt.  This picture of Aunt Carol was taken when we dropped two Jesus Pins off for Dolly Parton!

Paul, Michael and I went to Pigeon Forge, TN for our 2014 family vacation.  We had such a great time.  We met an amazing lady in Gatlinburg by the name of Carol Capooth.

Carol was such a warm, caring lady.  She shared a local newspaper with us of which a poem she wrote was in print.  With her permission I would like to share it:

Saying Goodbye

                                 by: Carol Capooth

Please don't cry because the time is near

I lay quietly with very little fear

Because as you can see

I'm closer to where I need to be

As you know my life has been hard

But Jesus always showed me a

bright shining star

I cried and prayed wondering what to do

But I heard Jesus say,

"Just remember I'm here and I love you."

So smile, laugh, and hug each other

because, after all,

they are your sisters and brothers

Enjoy each day with all your might

Because Jesus will always have you

in His sight.

It won't be long now, I can tell you

I hear the angels singing

and ringing all the bells

My mansion waits for me, I'm on my way

I can't wait to see Jesus

And hear what He has to say to me.

Thank you Carol.  It was an honor meeting you and bringing such joy to us.

Our son, Michael, is now attending an awesome, Christian, Private School called Hope Youth Learning Academy located in Pasco County, FL.  This is an outstanding school and we have been so blessed that Michael received a scholarship to attend this incredible school. The founders, Mr. & Mrs. Suarez do everything from their hearts.  They have chosen such an incredible staff and we have already seen fantastic results in Michael.  The Tampa Bay Lightning recently made a significant donation to them to assist in their expansion.  If you are searching for a good charitable organization, I ask for your help assisting the Hope Youth Learning Academy with their ministry.  Their generous kindness goes so much further than the private school.  Please visit their website at Hopeyouthranch.org to read more.

Paul and Constance are trying to get more involved in golfing together.  Paul gave Constance golf shoes, a golfing glove, and customized golf balls for Valentine's Day (see the saying on the picture of the ball above).  The Word of God will be spread on the golf course, because of lost balls.  This is one of Paul's ways of spreading the Word.  Update on our golfing --- we are still hitting the golf balls, but not getting better.  We are thinking of taking lessons!  However, Michael is a great driver on the golf cart!!!  He doesn't need lessons or any more practice!
